Microsoft will end its support of Windows 10 on Oct. 14. While the operating system will still function, it will no longer receive security updates or fixes. With a full Windows 11 migration likely requiring several months to complete, healthcare organizations not currently planning to upgrade may take on more cybersecurity risk come October than organizations that have been proactive.

Microsoft will offer Extended Security Updates at $61 per device for the first year; this price doubles in year two.
